Congratulations to life member and club legend Brett Cairns, who was this week awarded the EFNL recognition of service award.
The EFNL recognition of service award is awarded by the EFNL to those who have displayed the greatest of service to their club and the sport, with a minimum of 15 years of service required to be eligible for the award. With a maximum of two awards handed out a year, this is an extremely high and deserving honour for one of our greatest club members.
During his nearly 50 years at Ringwood, Brett has held many roles within the club, including:
- Club Captain
- Secretary (longest ever)
- Treasurer
- Team Manager
- Junior premiership coach
- Junior Assistant coach
- General Committee member
On top of these formal roles, Brett also continues to volunteer on gameday and is often one of the first people at the ground to help set up.
Congratulations to Brett for this incredibly fitting recognition of his fantastic service to our club.
