Welcome to this edition of The Web!

After another covid interrupted season in 2021, we are back for what we hope will be a full season in 2022!  NEW PAVILION & LIGHTSWe welcome the year with a brand new pavilion and new lights that will give us the ability to play four senior games in one day and host night games. We are set to officially open our new pavilion on Saturday night at our season launch and we welcome all our supporters. We are also planning a night game at Jubilee later in the year. Many members of our club supported the construction of our new pavilion and when we take over from the cricket club we will be honouring these donors with their names displayed prominently in the rooms. The building of the new indoor training facility is due to commence build this week. You will notice the old pavilion will be fenced when you come down to the ground. The build will be ongoing for all of 2022. Due to this there will be some impact on parking during the season. There will still be parking around the ground, but we would recommend getting to games early this year.  PRE-SEASON & NEW PLAYERSAfter another strong pre-season, we will again field three mens teams (under 19s, reserves and seniors), a senior women’s team and several netball teams in 2022. Our under 19s program continues to be strong as we add more players this year and again look to field a very competitive team. Thanks to the leadership of under 19s coach Adam Waugh, we have welcomed more new players to our under 19s as we continue to grow our club – not just for this year, but for the future. For the reserves and seniors, we welcomed several new who will continue to strengthen our team as we look to continue our form from 2021 that secured us a minor premiership before the season was called off. We are excited to welcome several big names players this season:Sam Wadley – After winning two under 19 premierships, two best on ground grand final medals and a league best and fairest, Sam left Ringwood to move to Premier Club Vermont where he won two Premier Division Senior Premierships. He returns to Ringwood as one of the best midfielders in the Eastern Football & Netball League and will be a dominant force in our division this year.  Mitch Heckley – Mitch joins us from Premier division side North Ringwood as a fast-moving midfielder and forward. Along with Sam, Mitch will add valuable Premier division midfield experience to our ranks in what will be another strong midfield for us in 2022. Mitch is a very exciting addition to the club.  Jacob Broad – At only 18 years old, Jacob made his senior debut for Premier Division side North Ringwood in 2021. He is a big bodied classy player who looked at home as a senior player in our first practice match. Jacob is sure to have a very successful senior career ahead of him.  Jeremy Broad – Joining his brother Jacob, Jeremy joins us as a strong in and under player. As a champion junior representing the league, Jeremy is set to make a big impact at Ringwood and is a very exciting inclusion for our club.  Lachie Stewart – Lachie joins us as another young recruit who has already made an impact during pre-season at our club. As a premier division under 19s captain in 2021, Lachie is ready to make the step into senior football and is a classic hard working footballer who will slot right into our club. Tom Murfett – Tom joins his brother Jack at Ringwood. After Jack made a very strong impact in his first season of seniors, we have no doubt that Tom will follow in his footsteps and utilise the space on offer at Jubilee to show his class with the ball.  SENIOR WOMEN’S FOOTBALLAfter winning the 2021 Premiership, our senior women’s team are looking strong and united again in 2022. Led again by premiership winning coach Darren Ashcroft, our women’s team continue to help grow our club. We have also had several of our senior female players assisting with our junior girls teams as we look to continue to grow our juniors and add junior girls. NETBALLOur netball program will again be led by Abbey Jordanov. After a premiership birth in 2019, our netball program continues to grow as we look to add more female players to our club. Thanks to the hard work of Abbey as she grows the netball division of our club. Good luck to the teams in 2022 as we chase our first senior netball premiership. SEASON LAUNCH & PRACTICE MATCHESThis Saturday night we will be launching our 2022 season and we welcome you all to attend.
